The National Library of Scotland will host a reading of several new plays inspired by research into the Library's archives by members of the Workers' Educational Association Playwrights Workshop.
The reading will include Kevin Ferguson’s play about James Hogg in Edinburgh and Laure C. Paterson’s “The Search for Speke’s Nile” takes a fresh look at the rivalry between explorers, Burton and Speke.
The reading is performed by the Citadel Arts Group, directed by Liz Hare and sponsored by the WEA Theatre Study group.
